Car Tyres

extensive range of tyres whatever the budget or performance required. Here at Economy Tyres in Aintree, we’ve got a huge range of tyres to keep you motoring along in comfort, economy & safety.

From high-quality budget tyres through to high-specification performance oriented tyres, we’ve got the lot. Coupled with fitters who take a real pride in their work, years of knowledge & fair prices makes Economy Tyres the only choice for all your tyre needs.

Naturally we offer wheel balancing, puncture repair & tracking too. And don’t forget, if you operate a vehicle fleet, we can help you centralise your tyre management with billing to head office.

Remember the legal limit for minimum depth of the tread on your tyres is 1.6mm, across the central ¾ of the tread and right around the tyre. Although for safety reasons, many vehicle manufacturers recommend replacing the tyre before it reaches this limit as the difference in stopping distances can increase – particularly in the wet.

If you see signs of unusual wear patterns such as one edge of the tyre, both edges excessively, a central stripe or anything that strikes you as unusual, please ask us to take a look – it could be the sign of a more serious problem that’s easily rectified before it ruins your tyres or puts you & your family at risk.

A regular check of your tyres can help you to avoid 3 penalty points and £2,500 in fines (per tyre) for having worn tyres. If in doubt, ask us to check.Safe motoring - thanks to Economy Tyres of Liverpool

Do remember that it’s against the law to mix tyres of different construction types on opposite sides of the same axle. The two main tyre types are radial and crossply, and these must not be mixed on the same axle. Although crossply tyres are usually only seen on classic cars these days.

Beware of cuts in tyres caused from rubbing against sharp objects. Not only can some cuts be dangerous but they’re also illegal. If you see a cut in the tyre sidewall or any unusual bumps, lumps or ‘eggs’ then don’t risk it – give your friendly fitters at Economy Tyres a call on 0151 521 2400.

Got a caravan? Remember to check the tyres regularly!
